Launch
Your dog is not broken, they are a teenager. Launch is six weeks of private, in-home training that turns selective hearing and leash chaos into real obedience that actually sticks, during the window that shapes the next decade.
Your dog’s personality is solidifying
Six months ago, “come” worked and “sit” was instant. Then something shifted. Now they are selectively deaf, they pull on walks, and they test every boundary you set. That early training was not pointless. Your dog is a teenager, and the patterns they rehearse now (good or bad) are the ones they will default to for life. This is not a problem to survive, it is a chance to shape exactly who they become.
- ✦Your dog is between 4 months and 1 year old
- ✦They used to listen, and now they do not
- ✦You are dealing with pulling, jumping, selective hearing, or teenage chaos
- ✦You want real obedience skills that hold up in the real world, not just tricks
What’s included
Private sessions in your home, then we take it to the real world where your dog actually needs to work.
In week one we define your goals together, in writing: what your dog will do, where, and how reliably. You always know exactly where you stand.
Check-ins through the week plus trainer feedback on your videos. You are never guessing alone until the next session.
Ten to fifteen minutes a day of structured reps that build fluency, not just compliance, plus a shared folder for milestone videos.
How it works, week by week
Sit and down become instant. No lures, no bribes, just a cue and compliance. We re-establish the basics with an adolescent brain that needs clarity more than complexity.
Your dog settles on command, even with life happening around them. Guests at the door, dinner time, kids running through the house. Place turns chaos into calm.
Loose-leash walking that actually works. Pulling gets them nowhere. We teach real walking, not the kind that falls apart the moment a squirrel shows up.
Coming when called, with distractions present, the first time and not the tenth. We build a recall that works when you actually need it, not one that only works in an empty backyard.
Everything chains together. Place, walk, recall, sit. Real sequences, real distractions, real world. Your dog starts connecting the dots.
Park, public space, actual life. By the end, your dog responds with real-world fluency in the places where it actually matters, not just in your kitchen. Plus a maintenance plan so it keeps holding.
Every dog brings a different temperament, so the pacing flexes to yours. The destination does not.

You put in the work, we put in the work
Both programs are backed the same way. We set your goals in writing before we start. You do the homework, show up for sessions, follow the plan we build together. If your dog still is not hitting those goals by graduation, here is exactly what happens, in order.
We keep going at no charge for a full week, with simplified homework and daily check-ins. Sometimes the plan needs to get smaller and the support needs to get closer.
A dedicated one-on-one session on exactly what is not sticking. New angle, hands-on help, same destination.
Completed both and still not there? Ask for your money back and you will get it. No hoops, no hard feelings.
Frequently asked
My dog already knows basic commands. Do we need Launch?+
Knowing a command and responding to it reliably in the real world are two very different things. If your dog knows “sit” in the kitchen but blows you off at the park, that is what Launch fixes. We are not teaching cues, we are teaching reliability.
What about the second fear period?+
Adolescent dogs often go through a secondary fear period somewhere between 6 and 14 months, where things they were previously fine with suddenly become scary. Launch is built with this in mind. We work around fear, not through it, and we never force exposure. If your dog hits a fear period during our program, we adjust the plan, not the timeline.
What is the difference between Build and Launch?+
Build (8 weeks to 4 months) focuses on confidence and socialization, the emotional foundation. Launch (4 months to 1 year) builds obedience on top of that foundation. Build teaches your puppy how to feel in the world. Launch teaches your adolescent how to respond in it.
What if my dog forgets everything mid-program?+
Totally normal for adolescents, it is called the regression. Hormones spike, attention wavers, and skills they knew last week seem to vanish. This is built into the program. We do not panic and we do not start over. We keep showing up, keep reinforcing, and the skills come back stronger for having been tested.
Do you offer e-collar training?+
Every dog is different, so we do not follow a one-size approach. We will talk on the free evaluation about what your dog actually needs. If an e-collar is appropriate for your dog and your goals, we introduce it correctly (humanely, clearly, with your full understanding). If it is not, we get results a different way.
Where do you train, and do you offer virtual?+
In person across Melbourne, Palm Bay, Viera, and all of Brevard County, Florida. We also coach virtual clients worldwide over video, with the same plan, support, and guarantee.
Is your dog over 1 year old, or working through behavior problems?
Adult dogs graduate to our parent brand, Trajectory Dog Training. See Ascent (adult foundations) and Odyssey (behavior training) for dogs past the puppy window.
