Build
Your puppy’s whole future is shaped in the first four months. Build is six weeks of private, in-home training that lays the foundation before fear, reactivity, and anxiety ever take root.
Who Build is for, and who it isn’t
Maybe this is your first puppy and you want to start right. Maybe you have raised dogs before and you know how fast this window closes. Either way, you are living with needle teeth, potty accidents, and a puppy who turns the doorbell into a meltdown. None of that is who your puppy is. It is just what has not been taught yet, and right now is the easiest it will ever be to teach it.
- ✦Your puppy is 8 weeks to 4 months and brand new to the world
- ✦You want to prevent problems now, not fix them later
- ✦You are dealing with biting, potty accidents, crate crying, or doorway chaos
- ✦You can put in about fifteen minutes of practice a day between sessions
What’s included
Six weekly one-on-one sessions in your home or over video, working on your real puppy problems in the real places they happen.
In week one we define World Ready together, in writing: what your puppy will do, where, and how reliably. You always know exactly where you stand.
Message us when the walk falls apart on a Tuesday. You are never guessing alone until the next session, and we give feedback on your videos.
A simple one-page practice sheet for every skill, so everyone in the house handles the puppy the same way. Consistency is half the training.
How it works, week by week
Your goals go in writing, your puppy learns a simple marker system, and we start where real life happens. Settling, crate as a rest zone, and the first handle on biting and potty chaos.
A soft mouth taught on purpose, plus paws, ears, and nails made easy, so grooming and vet visits stay calm for years to come.
New people, sounds, surfaces, and car rides introduced the right way, before vaccines are finished, without risking their health. Your puppy learns the world is interesting, not terrifying.
Other dogs and people become no big deal. Your puppy learns to check in with you instead of fixating on every distraction.
We take it outside. Triggers on walks, settling in public, and everyday distractions. Skills that work where you actually live, not just in your kitchen.
A real-world outing measured against the goals we wrote in week one, plus a maintenance plan so progress keeps holding without us.
Every puppy brings a different temperament, so the pacing flexes to your dog. The destination does not.

You put in the work, we put in the work
Both programs are backed the same way. We set your goals in writing before we start. You do the homework, show up for sessions, follow the plan we build together. If your puppy still is not hitting those goals by graduation, here is exactly what happens, in order.
We keep going at no charge for a full week, with simplified homework and daily check-ins. Sometimes the plan needs to get smaller and the support needs to get closer.
A dedicated one-on-one session on exactly what is not sticking. New angle, hands-on help, same destination.
Completed both and still not there? Ask for your money back and you will get it. No hoops, no hard feelings.
Frequently asked
My puppy already knows sit and down. Do we still need Build?+
Yes. Build is not about tricks, it is about emotional regulation, confidence, and socialization during the critical window before 4 months. A puppy who knows sit but falls apart at the doorbell needs Build. The cues come easier later when the foundation is there.
Is it safe to socialize before vaccines are finished?+
Yes, when it is done thoughtfully. Waiting until every shot is done means missing most of the window. We socialize in controlled, low risk ways (clean surfaces, healthy dogs, carried experiences) that protect your puppy’s health and their development at the same time.
What if my puppy is already 4 months old?+
The earlier the better, but we can still start. On the free evaluation we will sort out whether Build or Launch (our adolescent program) is the better fit. Sometimes it is Build with some Launch concepts layered in.
How is this different from puppy classes?+
Puppy classes are group-based, held in the same room each week, and focused mostly on cues. Build is private, in-home, and focused on the real behaviors that create problems: biting, potty training, crate settling, and meltdowns at the door. We train where it actually happens.
Where do you train, and do you offer virtual?+
In person across Melbourne, Palm Bay, Viera, and all of Brevard County, Florida. We also coach virtual clients worldwide over video, with the same plan, support, and guarantee.
Is your dog over 1 year old, or working through behavior problems?
Adult dogs graduate to our parent brand, Trajectory Dog Training. See Ascent (adult foundations) and Odyssey (behavior training) for dogs past the puppy window.
Ready to get on the launch pad?
The free evaluation is a real conversation about your puppy, your goals, and whether Build is the right fit. No pressure, no scripts.
