Intensive foundation · Weeks 1 and 2

I do the heavy lifting through trainer-handled sessions and solo field trips. Your dog sleeps at home every night, and you watch progress happen in real time.

Skill transfer · Weeks 3 and 4

Now we bring you in. Private coaching where you learn exactly what I’m doing and why. By the end of this phase, you can run the system yourself.

Real-world proofing · Week 5

Your neighborhood, your backyard, the parks and pet-friendly spots around Melbourne, Palm Bay, and Viera. The skills work everywhere, not just in training.

Independence and aftercare · Week 6 and beyond

You’re on your own, but I’m not disappearing. An annual tune-up every year, and you can text or call any time, for the life of your dog.

Behavior work is not linear. Progress is measured against your dog’s written goals, not somebody else’s dog.

My dog has a bite history. Can you help?+

Bite-history dogs are a large part of what I do in Odyssey. The free consult is where we figure out if we’re the right team. If your situation is outside my scope, I’ll point you to the right help. Either way, you leave with a real next step.

Will my dog be cured of reactivity?+

I won’t promise a cure, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does. What I promise is written, measurable goals: the walk you can enjoy, the guests you can host, the thresholds that hold, and the skills to maintain them yourself. And a guarantee with real teeth behind it. Most dogs go much further than their owners believed possible.

Is this a board and train?+

No. Your dog sleeps in their own bed every night. I handle sessions and solo field trips during the day in the first phase, then transfer everything to you. Behavior trained in your real life is behavior that holds up in your real life.

What training methods do you use?+

Balanced and evidence-based. Positive reinforcement is the foundation, paired with clear communication and fair, proportional accountability once your dog knows the rules. Whenever a dog has play drive, I train through play as much as I can, because a dog who learns to respond to you in a high arousal state of mind is a dog who can respond when it matters most. Either way, your dog learns boundaries and a clear, simple communication system.

Where do you train, and do you work virtually?+

In person across Melbourne, Palm Bay, Viera, and all of Brevard County, Florida. I also work virtually, and for some dogs video is actually better, especially anxiety and aggression cases where a stranger in your home is the exact trigger we’re managing. The consult will tell you honestly which format fits.
